Kodomo no Hi Japan Festival Adelaide is held every first Sunday in May. This year’s event will be held on Sunday 4 May 2025 from 11am to 4pm.

Kodomo no Hi Japan Festival is held at Unley Town Hall Precinct – 181 Unley Rd, Unley SA 5061.

Limited street parking available.

From the CBD:

• Take Bus 190, 190B from King William St or Pulteney St.
• Get off at Stop 4 Unley Rd – East side, which is just a short walk to the festival.

For the safety of your furry friends, pets are not allowed at Kodomo no Hi Japan Festival. Please note that this will be enforced at the entrances.

Kodomo no Hi Japan Festival goes ahead rain or shine. We post weather updates on social media closer to the event, so keep an eye out and dress accordingly!

Kodomo no Hi translates to ‘Children’s Day’. In the nature of the celebration, no alcohol is available for sale or consumption at the event.
